Setup as lifecycle language
For an Epson printer, setup can be described as identity, discovery, transport association, package or class-path selection, queue creation, and capability publication. These terms describe relationships rather than a user-interface procedure.
Device and package records
Discovery provides an endpoint candidate; package metadata supplies a rendering or configuration relationship. A queue joins those records for the host. A package’s presence does not by itself prove that the endpoint is the one represented by the queue.
Capability exposure
The selected protocol and renderer determine which Epson options the host can express. Device declarations, package metadata, and queue settings are related evidence, but they answer different questions.
Later phases
